Statement of Purpose

Electronic health records can represent a significant tool for achieving quality care by improving communication leading to safer care, presenting platforms where patients and their caregivers can communicate directly with their clinicians, and allowing clinicians to assess and monitor their patient populations. For these clinicians, understanding the best use of EHR technology is significant to addressing this quality improvement. EHR systems also allow a higher level of management – from single patients to populations of patients.

The sessions accredited for CME/CE seek to: enable EHR users to make more efficient use of their system to improve quality care for patients; enable users to gain insights into their patient populations, enable more effective practice management; and engage patients in their care.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:

  1. Determine how to more efficiently use the EMR to benefit the patient-clinician experience
  2. Understand how to use the EMR to positively impact patient health
  3. Demonstrate how to use your EMR to manage patient populations and provide clinical reports to deliver comprehensive, sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective care for your patient population.
  4. List ways to make your billing process more efficient and optimize accounts receivable

  6. Implement strategies to reduce provider burnout.
